no wonder i have gray hair

today was not a good day. 
 we've got alot on our plate right now, and this week is a big one.  the day started out with me losing my temper at the wonderful (and please note the immense amount of sarcasm here) people that work for Chrysler Customer care.  let me just say, i got what i wanted out of them, but i won't be sending them a christmas card.
then between calming down from that, dealing with a teething child, plus two little angels entrusted to my care, the afternoon proved to be long. 
we're a little on edge right now, a little worried about J's dad.  He's starting chemo tomorrow for bone cancer.    j has been taking it especially hard, he's close to his dad, and very much like him in alot of ways.  he is amazing with C, and it's so hard to imagine what he's going thru, but he is handling it well and when they visited on saturday, he laughed and talked, carried on the way he always does with C, even though he's got a huge weight and an unimaginable amount of worry and uncertainty about what the future holds for him. we can only pray that the chemo does it's job and although the next few months will be tough, seeing him get better will hopefully be the end result.

25 random things about me

this little fad was going around on facebook a long time ago, and i really enjoyed reading everyone's answers and finding out things about people i wouldn't have otherwise known.  so, today i'm going to revise my list.


1. my birthday is July 2, 1979
2. i've never eaten lobster.
3. i'm afraid of heights.
4. my jaw pops when i chew.
5. i was the first peron in my family to attend university and graduate with a degree.
6. i love taking pictures, and i would love to take a photography course.
7. when i was in elementary school, i competed in our yearly spring music festival, and twice won star of the festival.
8. i hate birds.
9. i have been to british columbia, ontario, pei, nova scotia, maine, new york state, california, mexico and cuba.

11. my favourite tv show is glee.
12. i'm not good at math.  i need a calculator, or fingers lol

14. my earliest memory is the day my brother Nathan was born.  I cried.  I wanted a sister.

25. i have a phobia of being hit in the face with a ball and all my teeth being broken.

more than a feeling

today was an ok day.. kiddies were all fairly good, no real complaints.. but then 730 rolls around, i put C to bed.. and now it's just me.  :(  
J is spending the night away tonight working, and well, i miss him when he's not here.  it's always nice to have that other person around to entertain C, to chat with, or just sit in silence while we watch tv or play on the computer.  it's just knowing the other person is there.. u know?


i guess i just love the big guy.  <3  we have been together for 2 1/2 years.. we had our first date on Dec 30, 2007, got engaged Dec 30, 2008, and we had our legal wedding ( we got married in cuba, but did the legal part before we went) on Dec 30, 2009.  I love that we did all those things on the same date :)  


J is absolutely the perfect man for me.  he's patient, kind, understanding, and he loves me for me.  he always finds a way to put a smile on my face no matter what my mood is, and we have a great life together.  sure we have our ups and downs just like any other couple, but we work through them and have grown to love one another more and more.  
we are overjoyed to be parents to C.. he is one awesome little man, and proof that starting over with your life isn't always a bad thing :)  

our summer

summer has been a busy one for us. J has been working away, i have started looking after a few kids so i can stay home with C. it is wonderful to be able to see him grow.. watch him do things for the first time, and i wouldn't change that for the world. he is really taking off with walking, it is sooo amazing that about 13 months ago he was this tiny helpless baby, and now, he's a toddler!!

I've been trying to get out my phone (it has my camcorder) to make sure i capture as many of these firsts as i can.. i was lucky enough to capture this little gem.. his longest walk yet!!
